Seems that MetroHouse is having a harder time moving some of their properties and are now offering a few for rent.
There are 4 listed currently and can be seen at their website: metrohouseaustin.com (sorry, annoying flash site means no direct links).
Of those for lease is this one:

I like this place, especially that big screened in area. You can still buy it (or the one next door, not sure about which is which) for about $570k or lease it for $2,850/m.

Sorry I was MIA for the last week. I was in DC for work and it seems I get lost in a time vortex when I am back there. I thought when I got back I’d find a good batch of listings to put up but there really isn’t anything all that interesting. I think we are entering that slow down of new listing period that happens each year in the fall as well as combined with the overall slower market which discourages people to sell unless they really have to.
I guess the lack of listings highlights how I need to step up with some other content. I don’t want to do just another design blog as there are enough of those out there that it is already a bit of an echo chamber. I was thinking doing more local profiles on homes / architects / designers and photo essays.
What would kind of content or information would you like to see?

As one would expect, not a lot of open house action this weekend. You should be outside anyhow.

Brentwood is home to a number of MetroHouses. I wish they were still building up there but I guess the combination of the new zoning laws plus lot prices don’t make it as an attractive area for them.
