    I went to go see this property in person yesterday, and let me tell you…they are severely understating the need for repairs. I’m guessing that it would be harder to keep the building up by fixing the rot that it would be to start fresh. Very interesting shape though, and a great wooded lot.

    Thats too bad, it looks conceptually interesting but in rough shape. I inquired about it, do happen to know the original architect?

    Yes, I went to look at this one today and agree with Bryan. You would have to take it down to the studs inside and cross your fingers that the framing is in decent shape. The drywall is shot throughout from water damage and there are lots of broken windows and doors. You can see down to the ground from the second floor bathroom where the subfloor has rotted all the way through (it’s basically right above the front door). Pretty much all the exterior wood siding also needs replacement.
