This home is advertised as “Mediterranean” and certainly the owners want to think of it as such, but there are strong Eichler like qualities to it. You’ll need to bring some new furnishing, paint, and some touch-ups to get it all the way there though.
Thanks to Sarah for the pointer.

I was just through this area today. There is actually a series of homes like this one on the street. 1950’s modern.
Small, yes. Needs a lot of work, yes.
Tons of potential though.
Bigger than average city lot (8700 square feet).

Lot in Bolding Creek plus designs for a 2100+ square foot home.
Description via the seller:
The following home is builder budgeted, plan approved, and permitted by the city - ready to go!! Unfortunately things in my life have changed so I will not be able to complete this work of art.
The home is of modern architecture, designed by the same architect as the other modern works on Live Oak. The two story home is 2,140 square feet, with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a big study/office that could become a fourth bedroom. TONS OF STORAGE, and a killer master suite. Lots of light. The planned finish out was very high-end. The outside of the home is to be clad in Massaranduba, which is a gorgeous exotic redwood similar to Ipe, but better working qualities.
To build the house as planned would be around $250,000 depending on if you made any changes. The builder is ready to start building ASAP for a completion no later than June 2006. The lot and the plans are $195,000 for a total of around $450,000 for a house that will appraise over $500,000 and have your influences and desires. So you will have a house with instant equity versus buying something at full market price. A two car garage/studio is designed and included in the lot/plan (also city approved) for a price of $195,000 but would add to the build budget.

While the main house is more of a classic 40’s design, I am giving some modern cred for the more recent addition.

The pictures in the MLS does not do this mid-century modern home justice. In particular, the current interior does not fit the structure/house design. Good potential.
There were better images at the realtor website, but the database has been unreliable so I do want to direct link to the images:

Eugene Wukasch’s personal home. Recently restored. A beautiful example of mid-century modernism in Austin.

Hard to tell for the pictures. However the area is known for some great MCM examples and the period is correct.
