Not a whole lot this weekend. A couple spec homes which keep recurring so I am not going to bother listing those each week. Both of these two are bit of stretch but when the pickings are thin….

This remains one of my more favorite MetroHouse. Their newer stuff has been less interesting to me (at least from the outside).
Realtor Site.
Update: As Jonathan points on in the comments, I meant to say MetroHouse. Not sure where MetroHome (exception just being lazy on checking and quick with my post) came from though apparently there is even a company called that. Update the references here the post.

I received a request from a reader to post up their plans for a modern home designed by Cottam Hargrave:
Cottam Hargrave is building a home for my wife and I in south Austin. Currently we are in the design phase. Jay has recommended reviewing the plans and model with friends for feedback. He has given me permission to blog them to increase my chances of different types of feedback. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
I love the idea of sharing more things like this (hint hint to anyone out there who wants to have their home - new or existing - profiled on Modern Austin.
Click here for the Flickr set. Be sure to check them out in large sizes (there is a button above each photo to see the big versions). If you have feedback leave a comment below or email me.

This place is very cool looking. Definitely need to find need to find a way to see it for myself (and take even more pictures). This home was designed by John Watson who did another home in Westlake that is similar (though still unique) and sold a few years back. Reminds of later period Lautner when he was doing all those concrete circular homes and perhaps it is not surprising that Watson & Lautner both studies under Frank Lloyd Wright.

Sorry about the lack of posts this week. I’ve been in DC for work. Slammed during the day and the hotel’s internet has been flaky at best, not to mention the tornado and sever thunderstorms.
Saturday June 7th

Avenue G, Hyde Park — $690k — noon to 3pm
Looking forward to seeing this house as I missed the last open house. From what I hear lots of nice finish out to the house. I know the owners are very sad on moving out of here as they have put a ton of work into the place.
Sunday June 8th

Mountain Villa Circle — $1.385M - 1 to 5 pm
This Alan Taniguchi designed home has been on the market for a bit.
Other homes on Sunday:
Monroe Street – $669k — 2 to 5 pm
