AD Stenger Exhibit
Starting next Monday, the 24, UT School Architecture will be doing an AD Stenger exhibit in the Mebane Gallery at Goldsmith Hall. The exhibit will run through April 25th.

We visited there today and actually quite liked the little enclave. Yes it is quite a ways out there. It took us about 25-30 minutes from Crestview to get there with light traffic. However the area is nice, the community seemed friendly and the lots are bigger (~1 acre).
You can still by lots for ~$90k per acre. Sadly it seems these Z-works homes were a phase I built around 1999/2000 but the later homes are your more standard stone suburban affairs. Perhaps it was too early for a green build modern development, especially that far outside the city? It is too bad as these homes seem more natural and have a very regional feel that is missing from many modern designs I see.
