I’ll be away for the next 10 days or so. At the beach, no cell phone, no email, minimum electronics, and so Modern Austin.
Work has been keeping me under so I looked at the MLS today for the first time since last weekend. A word to the wise, when working for a start-up be careful taking over a department on an “interim” basis, or at least substitute months when it was for weeks in any timeline. Anyhow, nothing jumped out at me. Either it is a very thin on listings this week or all the good places were gone in a flash.
This is common example of contempory “modern” new build in Austin right now. Actually it is better than most. Virtual tour here.
I suppose it is a nicer than some alternatives and I am pleased incorporating green building elements is becoming more the norm, but from a design point of view they don’t get me any more excited than your average bungalow.
Update gone pretty arwy. Crown molding run amock, mismatched themes, you name it. Seems like a could be a wonderful place, but it would probably be quite a bit of work/money just to undo some of the damage done.
At least we get a few pictures of the inside this time, but yet another place that you don’t really get a sense (or at least a good one) of via the pictures provided.
