While this home has some mid-century elements, it really feels more like a Japenese country house. The house certainly could use some updating, but I quite like it.

Tarrytown home with mid-century modern bones. At that price and size of lot, I fear it more a target for teardown than renovation. Hopefully, that isn’t the case.

Modern Capital is a blog of modern listings in the DC area. I’ve been working in DC for the past 9 months and let me tell you, being a modernist in DC is a lonely/bleak feeling. DC is pretty style free across the board and modernism is shunted to condos and fringes at best.
